Traditionally, Barolo is a dry wine, heavy in acidity, tannins, and alcohol. Prior to the mid-1800s, Barolo was drastically different, made in a richly sweet and fruity.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Garnet-red, with orange highlights.

Nose: Distinctive ethereal bouquet, nicely intense.

Palate: Dry, full-bodied and mouth-filling, demanding but velvety and well-balanced.

Food Pairing: Pasta dishes with mushroom or cheese sauces, or served with Alba white truffle, red meat and game stews and pot roasts, mature cheeses. Duck, grilled steak, braised beef or mushroom risotto.
