Bruichladdich Classic Laddie Scottish Barley
The foundation for our Classic Laddie is not a recipe set in stone, but a distilling philosophy. We have no interest in consistency or uniformity, instead – year by year – the variety and provenance of our barley shapes our spirit, and an ever-increasing range of casks are sourced to evolve the suite of flavours in our warehouse. Each batch of the Classic Laddie will, by nature, be unique and subtly different, but it is ultimately our Head Distiller who curates this assemblage of our finest spirits, to showcase the classic, floral and elegant Bruichladdich house style.
Bruichladdich's Scottish Barley is made entirely from Scottish-grown barley, trickle distilled and then matured for its entire life by the shores of Loch Indaal in premium American oak, it is a testament to the quality of our ingredients. This is authenticity. We believe barley matters.
This single malt scotch whisky has been crafted by master distiller Jim McEwan from individually selected casks to showcase the classic, floral and elegant Bruichladdich house style. Unpeated, it is our signature bottling and the definitive Bruichladdich.
Nose: A hint of sea spray, but rich and plush, with punchy fruit and floral aromas.
Palate: Enticing mix of creaminess and salinity – rich and refreshing.
Finish: Nice balance between the sprightly fruit and tangy sea-spray elements.
