The Louis de Sacy Brut is a blend of three varietals selected exclusively from Grand Cru classified “terroirs”: 60% Pinot Noir, 5% Pinot Meunier, 35% Chardonnay (10% aged in oak). Beautiful golden robe with very fine bubbles spreading out a complex, subtle and well-balanced nose of red fruits, citrus, spices.
Rich and powerful, this Champagne wraps light red berry, pastry and citrus flavors around a firm spine. Balanced, with a creamy, tactile finish that's long and expansive.
Complex, subtle nose of pear, spices, citrus, herbs and toasted bread. Fine beads with silky mousse with rich golden color. Established in 1633 in Grand Cru village of Verzy, 12th generation Alain Sacy still makes and develops Grand Cru Champagnes. This Champagne was a personal favorite of legendary singer Josephine Baker. Is is technically a NM (negocient manipulant), champagne maker who buys grapes to make wine, but it is really a RM, growers champagne, who grows grapes and makes wine from them, becuase the grapes comes from their famiy siblings' vineyards.
Aromatic, with smoke, ripe damson plum and blackberry notes riding the creamy mousse, layered with accents of lightly charred toast, golden raisin and roasted nut. Tangy finish. Drink now through 2018.
