Centenario 9 Years Conmemorativo Añejo Rum

Ron Centenario Conmemorativo 9 Year originates from Costa Rica in Central America and is another quaffable and delicious product by the brand. Since the rum as well as the sugarcane, from which its molasses is derived, are manufactured at approximately 4000 feet, both are subjected to optimal climatic conditions, which results in a great final product. As its name already suggests, the rum is aged a total of nine years in wooden casks to guarantee its stellar flavor.

Two extra years make a modest difference here, namely in the body, which is stronger and more pungent, with a slightly winey character. That aside, more coconut and an emerging chocolate note arise to complement the vanilla at the rum’s core, leading to a sharper finish that hints at sherry.

Tasting Notes:

Drier than the Centenario 7, the 9 is a blend of rums aged for up to 9 years in white American oak casks. This rum has a citrus quality that combines elements of lemon zest, green bananas, lemon oil, and Bing cherries, with caramel, baled hay, and maraschino liqueur.

Even though the rum has hints of caramel and wood, its taste introduces further aromas such as honey and a fruity hint of raisins. Its overall taste experience is extremely harmonious and full-bodied, which makes the good rum the perfect product to be enjoyed neat and in the company of friends.

This rum is an excellent choice for a traditional daiquiri: rum, lime juice and simple syrup. Enjoy neat, with spring water, or ice as well.
