Barceló Imperial Onyx is a blend of rums, aged for 10 years in ex-bourbon barrels with a "heavy char" grade (other premium rums are aged in barrels containing a "medium-light char" grade). Filtered though onyx stones, which give Barceló Imperial Onyx the mysticism that characterizes this rum of unprecedented intensity. It is uniquely different from other Dominican rums because it is made from the fermented juice of sugar cane and not from molasses.

Lush, buttery toffee, dried fruit and delicate floral aromas surround this brilliantly copper colored rum. A lively entry leads to a medium-to-full-bodied palate with sweet toffee, dried apples, pears and brown spices. Long in its fruity, buttery toffee fade with a touch of tobacco leaf and pepper.
