Bardstown Fusion Series #7 Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey

Bardstown Bourbon Company has released two new bottlings from their Fusion and Discovery series. Fusion Series #7 and Discovery Series #7 are now available at the distillery and distributed in 20 markets across the country.

The Fusion Series celebrates the blending of newer and older bourbons to create something unique. The younger spirits are 100% our own product mellowed with hand- selected, supremely aged bourbon that beautifully complements our specific recipes. As the distillery grows, our bourbon ages — a difference you can taste with each Fusion release.

Tasting Notes:

An exquisite contrast of vibrant nectarine with toasted almond and honey leads to cedar and rich toffee with light tannin on the palate. An elegant finish showcases the delightful balance between youthful and aged Kentucky Bourbon.

Appearance: Light amber/honey.

Nose: Mild, with hints of corn. Not very complex.

Palate: Nice mild oak, tannin and a lovely spice that doesn’t overpower the subtle vanilla, honey, and stone fruit notes. A hint of mint at the very tail end.

Finish: Nice, decently long, with oak and mild vanilla lingering on while the spice fades. At the very end, you are left with hints of that oak lingering on your tongue.

Age: Blend of 3- and 12-Year Whiskeys

Mashbill: 54% 3-Year Bourbon: 75% Corn, 21% Rye, 4% Malted Barley / 10% 3-Year Bourbon: 60% Corn, 40% Rye / 6% 3-Year Bourbon: 60% Corn, 26% Rye, 10% Wheat, 4% Malted Barley / 20% Undisclosed 12- Year Kentucky Bourbon: 78% Corn, 10% Rye, 12% Malted Barley / 10% Undisclosed 12-Year Kentucky Bourbon: 75% Corn, 13% Rye, 12% Malted Barley.
