Caribou Crossing Single Barrel is the world's first single-barrel Canadian whisky, a premium allocation from the Sazerac Company. Each bottle is hand-selected by Master Blender Drew Mayville from an extensive master collection of over 200,000 barrels to ensure a unique and flavor-rich profile.
Matured in oak barrels, this expression offers an exceptionally smooth and approachable mouthfeel with a delicate nose of caramel, vanilla, and butterscotch. The palate delivers a refined balance of vanilla custard and honey, expertly cut by a gentle rye spice that adds complexity without overpowering the sweetness. Often referred to as "Canada's answer to Blanton's," this spirit is presented in an iconic decanter with a collectible pewter caribou stopper.
Tasting Notes:
The whisky has a slightly fruity aroma, with notes of orange, vanilla, caramel and honey. Notes of vanilla, toasted marshmallow, crème brulee, peaches and soft rye spices dominate the palate, and are complemented by a soft undertone of oak. The finish is well-balanced and delicious, with gentle spices lingering throughout.
Caribou Crossing Single Barrel Canadian Whisky is a Canadian Whisky that was distilled and matured in Alberta before being hand-selected by Mayville himself.
