The second wine of chateau La Bridane. A red wine with a deep and intense bouquet of red fruits from a special wine year 2010. A deep ruby color with aromas of black plum, black currant, cassis, and violets notes of cedar, pencil, coffee, wet stones, tobacco, earth and leather. Special experience consuming it with game or poultry.
This Saint-Julien boasts a wonderfully lively nose, with the rich fruit aromas so typical of the terroir. Château Moulin de la Bridane has been a family-run estate for almost three hundred years. This wine is the fruit of 15 hectares of vines, set on the slopes of Saint-Julien overlooking some of the villages most prestigious Grands Crus.
The Château Moulin de la Bridane, owned by the Blancan and Saintout families for almost three centuries, partly surrounds the west of the village of Saint Julien. On the other hand, it occupies the top of the hillside overlooking the estuary, classified grands crus.
Tasting Notes:
Dense, with a deep ruby color and good viscosity. Blueberry, blackcurrant, and blackberry aromas merge with violet, cedar, and dried herbs to form a complex aromatic profile. Full-bodied and forward, with ripe black cherry and currant fruit, and the silken tannins of a classically structured Bordeaux.
Food Pairing:
Pair it with charcuterie or roasted or grilled red meats. Will also prove itself an excellent match for a selection of fine cheeses.
Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot.
Origin: Saint-Emilion, Bordeaux, France.
