This opaque and dark purple colored wine opens with a blackberry bouquet with a hint of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious black cherry with a hint of black currant. The finish is dry and its dusty oak tannins sail on for quite some time. This wine would pair perfectly with a ribeye from Grill 23 in Boston.
Tasting Notes:
Focused and more high-toned, with layers of fresh Bing cherry and black currant wrapped around a core of savory earth and cocoa. The youthful fruit intensity and polished tannins of this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon are impeccably balanced, providing breadth and structure while scents of wild sage, lead pencil and star anise reveal the wines’ Mount Veeder components.
Aged 22 month in 85% new French oak barrels.
Varieties: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Origin: Napa Valley, California, United States.
