Grant’s master blender Brian Kinsman led the Grant’s blending team in creating the expression, in association with a small Scottish brewing company. The team finished the variant for up to four months in barrels that were formerly filled with ale.
Intrigued that whisky and ale have matching profiles, Grant's Master Blender asked a local Scottish brewery to season bourbon casks with their ales. The result: Grant’s Ale Cask Finish. It’s the first blended Scotch to be extra-matured in casks that once held ale, resulting in a smooth, rich and creamy taste.
