The Macallan has introduced A Night on Earth - The Journey, a unique single malt Scotch whisky created to represent the journey to recognize special times we spend with those who mean the most to us and those unique moments around the world when we come together.

This limited-edition whisky was created using a perfectly balanced combination of The Macallan’s exceptional sherry seasoned European and American oak casks together with American ex-bourbon barrels. 

The changing of the year is a time of reflection, celebrating together and making new resolutions for the season to come. Each release reflects on a different destination, exploring its local and family traditions, capturing the universal joy of celebrating a special occasion with loved ones.

The second release in The Macallan A Night on Earth series, The Journey is encased in an innovative, multi-layered pack, created in collaboration with acclaimed Chinese mixed-media artist Nini Sum.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Experience a rich and inviting nose featuring toasted oak, creamy steamed rice, coconut milk pudding, and a medley of citrus fruits. Hints of vanilla and oat biscuits add to the complexity, creating an alluring aroma.

Palate: On the palate, enjoy a vibrant burst of effervescent citrus fruits, notably lemon and lime, interwoven with sweet creamy vanilla sponge and toasted coconut. The balance of flavors is a testament to The Macallan's masterful cask selection and whisky crafting.

Finish: The finish is medium in length, offering a delightful sweetness with notes of toasted oak and vanilla. It leaves a lasting impression that is both satisfying and memorable.
