Once Plantation Rum, we are now Planteray Rum. Still a family business and still championing the great terroirs of rum.

Venezuela has a long heritage of crafting rich and refined rums: “Ron de Venezuela” is a Denomination of Controlled Origin, certifying that rums are aged at least two years and produced only in 12 designated states. The family-owned Destilería Sofa is the oldest in the country, founded in 1796.

Venezuelan rums are known for their complexity, often offering flavors of dark chocolate, toffee, vanilla, caramel, and a variety of
spices. Toasted coconut, candied orange peels and tobacco accentuate the long finish.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Delicate and rich, nutmeg, honey, vanilla, mandarin, coconut, Brazil nuts and coffee with light floral notes.

Palate: Spicy and woody profile with notes of peanuts, tobacco, almond, oak, pepper with crème brûlée, pineapple and dried banana.

Finish: Long and dry on hazelnut, leather, mango, orange, banana and cloves.

52% ABV / 104 Proof
